All College employees are responsible, under the College’s Students Rights and Responsibilities and Discipline policy, to work at efforts to minimize the potential for academic misconduct, which includes academic dishonesty. Endeavours to reduce misconduct may include a variety of activities, which may include reviewing College policies and procedures on academic misconduct, participating in training on promotionof academic integrity, and/or speaking with College support personnel on ways to reduce student academic dishonesty in various scenarios.
Faculty and staff should be familiar with the College policy on academic misconduct, found within the policy on Student Rights and Responsibilities and Discipline.
The policy includes information on what faculty members’ responsibilities are toward the effort to maintain academic integrity, as well as information on the hearing and discipline processes involved for cases of misconduct.
Please note that faculty complainants who report academic misconduct must provide information about the alleged offence in writing to the divisional Dean who is responsible for the academic area in which the act occurred. Reporting academic dishonesty to the Dean should be done as soon as possible and within two business days of the faculty member learning of the act of student dishonesty.

If you need more information on how to report academic dishonesty, or have concerns and questions about the specifics of reporting or the disciplinary process, please contact Lois Nantais, Coordinator, at the Centre for Academic Integrity: the Student Success Department.
