Why do I need to log in?
Step 1 Apply
Apply online for the upcoming academic year at: https://www.ontario.ca/page/osap-ontario-student-assistance-program
It's important to be accurate. Any changes you need to make after you submit your application needs to be done in person at Lambton College's Financial Aid office.
Step 2 Submit Documentation
Master Student Financial Assistance Agreement (MSFAA). This agreement is for full-time students only. If you haven't already submitted this agreement you'll need to print a copy, sign it, and submit it.
Step 4 Pay Your Deposit
Your online application will tell you if you need to submit the agreement or not.In May, you will receive a FEE EMAIL from Lambton with a June due date to pay your tuition deposit. (This is charged only once per academic year!)
You are required to pay this deposit each year to be registered and receive your first term OSAP. Attention if you are an Ontario Works or OSAP Recipient: You may request a waiver for the deposit payment by completing the Tuition Deposit Waiver: https://www.mylambton.ca/uploadedFiles/myLambton/Services/Financial_Aid/OSAP_Review_Forms/Tuition%20Deposit%20Waiver.pdf
You must have an OSAP assessment on file to make this request. Deposit waivers may be granted in other, limited circumstances. Step 5 Check your OSAP regularly
It's important to get into the habit of checking your OSAP account regularly, as you would an email account. Your OSAP account has valuable information, for example: status of your account, when and how much money will be released, breakdown of your funding, income update opportunities, etc.
Step 6 Confirmation of Enrollment Lambton College will confirm your full-time enrollment status shortly after you receive your timetable each term. You will receive 60% of your funding in the first term and 40% of funding in the second term.
Funding will be deposited into your bank account and/or received by the school approximately 5 - 7 business days after the confirmation date.
