Why do I need to log in?
OSAP is a needs based Federal and Provincial program that assists students from low to middle income families.
It is a mix of loans (repayable) and grants (FREE MONEY) to help with the additional cost of education.
OSAP does not always provide assistance to cover all of your educational and living costs.
You can apply for assistance as a full-time student (min. 60% course load required or 40% if you are a student with a disability) or as a part-time student. One application automatically considers you for funding from several different grants.
Student loan payments begin six months after the student has finished school.
Apply online at : www.ontario.ca/osap
When can I apply to OSAP?
The online application is typically available in late April each year.
The amount of money you can get depends on a few different factors:
Your educational expenses: the cost of tuition, books, child care, personal living expenses, supplies and equipment.
Your personal financial situation: how much you and your family are expected to contribute, based on income and other factors.
Use the OSAP Aid Estimator to get an idea of how much you will get so you can start budgeting for school: https://osap.gov.on.ca/AidEstimatorWeb/enterapp/enter.xhtml?lang=en
