As described in the Student Rights and Responsibilities and Discipline policy, Lambton College has a responsibility to address academic misconduct with appropriate measures. There are various penalties implemented for proven instances of academic misconduct, such as a mark reduction for an assignment or the denial of a course credit.
The penalty for academic dishonesty, determined by relevant Deans, addresses the particular circumstances of each case. The College Deans administer sanctions appropriate to the degree of severity and the details involved with each incident of alleged dishonesty.
Transparency in managing and addressing student academic dishonesty cases is an important component of an ethical academic environment. One of the roles of the Centre for Academic Integrity is to establish, maintain and publish a record of student academic dishonesty, as well as the results of cases filed, including any judiciary sanctioning for the student. Below is a list of academic dishonesty incidences at Lambton. This list also describes any previous academic dishonesty in which the student was involved.
This record helps describe trends in offending behaviours, as well as the College's sanctions and overall extent of College involvement with correction of academic dishonesty.
Beginning with the Fall 2012 term, this page will list the results of College findings on allegations of academic dishonesty.
