Why do I need to log in?
Lambton College students, faculty and staff should not allow anyone to diminish, or attempt to diminish, the academic efforts and achievements that are required for success.
In particular, students should not choose or be enabled to commit academic dishonesty, nor should they knowingly permit others to take advantage of inappropriate standards of academic conduct.
Listed below are some of the most common forms of academic dishonesty.
Knowing what constitutes inappropriate or unacceptable academic behaviour is very important. Intentional or not, dishonesty in any form is not accepted at Lambton College.
Using or attempting to use purchased assignments or other unauthorized materials such as:
Using another’s intellectual property (ideas, text, essays or presentations) as one’s own without sufficient citation/referencing for any academic exercise. Plagiarism includes:
Intentionally creating data or results, such as false statistics or references, for any academic exercise.
Complicity/Facilitation of academic dishonesty:
Helping or attempting to help another to commit an act of academic dishonesty, such as cheating or plagiarism. Complicity also includes impersonating someone when writing tests, exams, or assignments, for the purpose of helping another to cheat.
